The SteamHub is a versatile video transceiver platform that receives, decodes, transcodes, records, plays out and distributes the live video streams and recorded video files sent by AVIWEST’s field units as well as third party systems such as IP cameras.
The platform can be deployed on an in-house 1U server or as a cloud-based service, bringing simplicity, flexibility and efficiency to any news or live video production organization.
The StreamHub packs a rich set of input IP protocols and the platform can receive up to 16 concurrent incoming streams from remote AVIWEST field units or third party systems through RTMP, RTSP/RTP, HLS and TS/IP streaming protocols. Up to 4 H.264 or HEVC videos can be simultaneously decoded thanks to 4 SDI outputs synchronized with a Genlock input.
The StreamHub combines the video recording and video encoding functions enabling an efficient adaption of the video formats and resolutions according to each output constraint.
The StreamHub offers multiple output streaming protocols (SST – AVIWEST Safe Streams Transport protocol-, RTMP, RTSP/RTP, HLS, TS/IP, SRT) allowing video contents to be freely distributed over virtually any IP network. Up to 32 IP outputs are supported to re-stream the video contents over LAN or WAN to CDNs, Media Servers, Streaming Platforms, Social Networks, IRDs or other StreamHubs.
The StreamHub application is able to automatically manage missions and matadata to guaranteeing the perfect integration with the production workflow. In this way, you can quickly and efficiently identify your contents.
The StreamHub is also the Gateway for field units IP Data Bridge feature that allow access to public Internet from the field.
The StreamHub includes an IFB application that enables you to communicate with remote transmitter operators over up to 16 independent two-way audio channels. Both SIP-based and legacy IFB intercom are supported.
The StreamHub application features a grid of video thumbnails that allow you to play out up to 16 incoming streams (4 x 4 with a custom layout) on a single monitor. You can also define audio sources and output standards and add information overlay for each sources.
